A great book to get your body and mind prepared for a new life of being a “morning person”. It has the right information that explains how your brain works in a simple enough way that anyone can achieve an early rise.

I think people have problems getting up in the morning because they are not well informed about what techniques they could be using to motivate themselves. The author of this book has gone through his own difficulties in being a morning person shares his discoveries in conquering that issue.

This short book offers you all the guidance you need to start seeing results from just a few exercises. You can easily train yourself into new habits with this book. I think you can either go through all the steps it provides or even just take in a little bit at a time since the book provides many different techniques to improve not just the amount of sleep you get but the quality of that sleep.

Not only does this book provide proven methods to improve your sleep and waking schedule it also takes time to show the benefits of achieving those goals. This helps give you reasons to go for it and aids in explaining why you’ll start to feel better about so many things in your life after achieving the goal of being a morning person.

I really enjoyed reading this and it’s something I’ll probably read again from time to time as the tips and guidance within has had a great effect on my life. If you want to make a good investment for yourself I’d suggest you try this book.

Teaching an old dog new tricks

After 3 years working 2 full-time jobs, a part-time job and going to grad school (becoming a Grandmother and being diagnosed with Celiac Disease) when graduate school was over a great opportunity fell into my lap. But, the trick is I am no longer in complete control of my schedule. During those three years I slept little and ate junk to fuel myself. Starting the new job was a catalyst to relearning how to navigate the early morning. I used to love getting up early. My husband used to tease me about becoming a pumpkin at 10pm so I could get up at 430 to accomplish what I needed to before waking the kids and going to work. Now empty nesters and living with my mother-in-law the entire dynamic changed. Telecommuting also spoiled me (I will be continuing this job). But now I have to be at work at 830 am. I loved this book. It was short with lots of practical suggestions I will be putting into practice. I guess you can teach an old dog new trick!

A little spark to start the day!

Sometimes it only takes a spark to get a fire going. This book provides that spark I felt that was simple and applicable to start making the most of my mornings. What a great easy read!
